The Marti CLA 40H was originally designed as a limiter for AM broadcast transmitters Similar to the Urei BL-40

Completely adapted as a FET limiter for certain rock and garage snare drums, a coloration, even distortion, very present and an undeniable stability in the mix.

Much more flexible in compress fet (around 30 sec release in mode 3!). And when both are engaged, it’s an incredible sound. It was intended to drastically limit the sound of AM radio transmitters, and it does the same thing with any type of signal sent into it, in addition to adding the sound signature of its era. Very typical compressor!
